Making an Expression of Wish

An Expression of Wish is a declaration by you, the Scheme member, informing the Trustee of the Scheme who you would like to receive the benefits they may be entitled to if you die.

It's really important that you make an Expression of Wish. Without it the Trustee will not know who should receive the benefits, and may not be able to pay any at all. An Expression of Wish can also help to minimise any disputes by family members, or other stakeholders, over the allocation your pension assets.

All benefits are payable in accordance with the Trust Deed and Rules, the legal document governing the Scheme. In the event of any discrepancy between any information provided to you and the Trust Deed and Rules, the Trust Deed and Rules will prevail.
