Important: Lifestyle profile and investment fund changes

The Trustee has reviewed the funds and the investment strategies (Lifestyle Profiles) available within the DC Section of the Scheme.  As a result, there will be some changes to the Lifestyle Profiles, and some of the underlying funds in which members are invested.

It is important that you understand these changes, and consider whether you would like to review your investment choices.

You will shortly receive a letter explaining how these changes affect your Personal Account. Included with the letter will be an explanatory booklet explaining all of the changes to your current Lifestyle profile (or in respect of the Self-select funds if this is the investment strategy you have chosen). Copies of all four booklets can be found in the Document library.

In addition, the Trustee has arranged face to face sessions, starting on 16 June, to allow members to hear first-hand about the changes, and to help them understand the long term impact of their pension choices.  There are 3 separate sessions, focusing on the following areas:

  1. Multi-Asset Lifestyle (you may be invested in this if you have not made any fund choices of your own).  This session is appropriate for members either currently invested in this option, or those that would like to understand how alternative investment strategies might best meet their future needs.

  2. Passive and Active Asset Lifestyle.  This session is appropriate for members either currently invested in this option, or those that would like to understand how alternative investment strategies might best meet their future needs.

  3. Funds Explained – this session covers the basics of investing, and what to consider in making investment choices.  It will cover the range of PSPS Funds and Lifestyle Options.
